7.10

Screen printed Patch "Deathrider"

Horses have been used as symbols across the globe for a very long time, it is often a symbol for power and freedom. But the various interpretation are based on the animal’s color, posture, and depiction as wild or captive. Horses are not only connected to positive stories or traits. In Christianity, the four horsemen bring forth the cataclysm of the apocalypse. The four riders represent conquest, warfare, famine, and widespread death. White, red, black, and pale green horse are the colors of the horses. The pale horse and its rider can be found in the famous Engraving "The fourth Horseman, Death on the Pale Horse" by Gustave Doré (1865).
In norse mythology the most well known horse would be Sleipnir, son of Loki. Sleipnir is Odins horse which has eight legs and was the fastes horse in all of the nine worlds.

ca. 11 x 24 cm cm / approx. 4,3" x 9,4"

This patch is illustrated and screen printed by myself. Each patch is printed and cut individually by hand. I use waterproof ink and fabric from a local fabric store.

Important Info:
Washing: The patches are machine-washable at 30-40°C.
To avoid fraying use stiches that go around the edge. The Patch should also have enough room to be folded on the edges before sewing on, this will help avoid fraying as well.
